Minor issue but annoying, I do not like that "drag to delete" stops working when you upgrade to the 3D rocket maker.Īnd for what it's worth, the title is terrible. Oh, and I managed to make it to the exosphere in Chapter 2 thanks to a bug that gave me infinite engine boost after I used a Purple Passion firework to blast off the fuel tank. the trajectory predictor in the corner of the editor says it's balanced) will get built, fly wildly to one side, then when I return to the editor, the arrow is now bending hard-left - and when I rearrange the engines to make the arrow straight again, the parts are laughably asymmetrical. Anyways, familiarize yourself with this workaround, you'll definitely need it in the later game when the rockets get HUGE.Īnother occasional bug I keep hitting is that for some reason, my perfectly symmetrical rockets which pass an "arrow inspection" (i.e. I kind of enjoy that a game about kludging rockets together out of junk and spite has its own kludgy workaround for a common control issue. I keep running into an intermittent bug where mouse-zoom stops working in the rocket editor the workaround is to use the LB/RB buttons on an attached XBox controller. Technical issues are light but get annoying annoying. Although it is distracting when you hit the exosphere, switch to Follow Cam, and have no clue whatsoever what planet we're actually on because that ain't no continent I've ever seen.

Oh, and I absolutely ADORE the visual presentation of the game, making the graphics look convincingly like hand-shot YouTube videos and such. It's not what I'd call a major feature, but it does pay off to at least learn how it works, as quickly and effectively as possible. There's also kind of a mini-game around selecting "tags" when you upload your video, to maximize your channel growth and profit. The editor is easy to use and even easier to read, all the info you need is available easily, and I like how the editor "upgrades" periodically once you reach certain levels and demonstrate your understanding of the mechanics. I know the "Kerbal Space Program" comparisons are gonna be heavy for this title, but it reminds me more of those Flash-based 2D rocket-builder games from back in the day, just with a 3D presentation and some Z-axis movement once the rocket is built. The rocket-building itself is, no pun intended, a blast. The mechanics are simple enough, featuring an off-beat combination of elements to send flying and some non-traditional challenges (such as knocking over porta-potties or creating a rocket that can "strip-tease" at a specific altitude). The story's critical path does a great job of introducing every concept of the game and makes you feel like you're learning organically. They found a way to combine gameplay from rocket-builder games and social media tycoon games - think "Kerbal Space Program" meets "Youtubers Life". I'm having a lot of fun with "Next Space Rebels". 23: Changing pad for Falcon 9/Starlink 4-23Īug.Hello!
